Drag And Drop File Html5 For Mac

I have just installed Office 2016 on my MacBook Pro (version 10.10.5 Yosemite) and it has been pretty good so far except when I try to drag and drop Word files into Word 2016.In Word 2011, I was able to drag and drop my CV of 2 pages for instance at the end of an existing Word document of 10 pages, making it a document of 12 pages. I was also able to modify some words in my CV after the drag and drop. Now, Word 2016 only drag and drop the first page of my CV and I cannot modify it since it drops it as a caption (11 pages then). It works with the traditional way of 'Insert - File.' Though but I was wondering if anyone knows how to solve this issue? It is more convenient and faster to drag and drop when it comes to deal with several documents at the same time.Any help would be very appreciated.

PMFJI, but the OP is correct about the behavior being different from earlier versions although I'm not certain what is meant by 'caption'.In Word 2016 the dragged document is inserted as an embedded object as you say. As a result, only the first page displays. You can double-click the object to edit it in a separate window but still can't force the additional page(s) to be displayed in thehost document. In prior versions exactly the same steps did result in the text of the dragged document being appended to the text of the host. The content of the dragged document retained its formatting & displayed in its entirety in editable form rather thanas an object. AI: Artificial Intelligence or Automated Idiocy??? The following works in Chrome and FF, but i've yet to find a solution that covers IE10+ as well: // dragover and dragenter events need to have 'preventDefault'.
