I assume that you added it to the computer Software Installation key?To be honest I have found that method to be a tad unreliable as yopu can basically only install a single '.msi' from a single network share. We tend to write a startup script or logon script to install software. So the software doesn't install multiple times we create a marker file on completion of the install. E.g.If exist 'c:markersMDAC installed.txt' exitsoftwareserverSoftware MDACsetup.exe /qecho 'Mdac Installed' 'c:markersMDAC installed.txt'On slow networks for big packages you will need to set the script timers. Thanks for your replies. To answer your questions:GPO is Computer Configuration  Policies  Software Settings  Software InstallationI have tried with UAC enabled and disabledI have tried using a setting as low as 5 seconds for 'Startup policy processing wait time'Yes, I have restarted after running gpupdate /force, both by using the gpupdate /force /boot option and manually. Was hoping to use GPO to roll out this software for a number of clients, but looks like I may have to resort to using a logon script instead.
