Hey allI am trying to perform software installation via group policy. I have configured the GPO to assign the.msi, however the software will not install. Environment is SBS 2008 based AD, Windows 7 clients.

If I run gpupdate /force from client it seem to attempt to perform installation but fails as expected due to synchronous processing requirements, and I receive the following errors in the system event log:Event ID 101: The assignment of application Adobe Reader 9 from policy Install Software failed. We tend to write a startup script or logon script to install software. So the software doesn't install multiple times we create a marker file on completion of the install.
